From May 17 to July 25, 2025, the exhibition offers a contemporary vision of mosaic art and highlights the mosaic works present throughout the city.
The new exhibition at the Château de Flers Museum offers a contemporary vision of mosaic art through the works of 4 artists from the metropolis of Lille: Annie Busin, Marie-Paule Gumez, Sandrine Daubrège and Valérie Lougrada.
The works on display explore original forms and materials and offer a new look at this ancestral art.
The mosaic is not just pieces assembled to form a mural. It is a millenary technique that offers many possibilities, both in materials (rock, glass, shells,...) and in types of works (utilitarian objects, sculptures, mural works...).
This exhibition also showcases mosaic works scattered throughout our city, including the work of an internationally recognized mosaic artist, Riccardo Licata.
