In partnership with Lycée Maillol and Galeries Lafayette
On the occasion of the European Night of Museums, ten jackets created as part of the 2025 upcycling challenge by students from the Fashion and Garment program at Lycée Maillol are showcased within the collections. This program brings together 120 students, from secondary level to CAP qualification.
Previously presented at Galeries Lafayette in spring, these creations now engage in dialogue with their sources of inspiration: Young Girl in Profile by Aristide Maillol and Portrait of Mrs. de Lazerme in Catalan Dress by Pablo Picasso. At the crossroads of fashion, art and eco-conscious commitment, this project reaches its culmination here. The students present will share their approach and the stages of their creative process.

When color takes form : Dance Performance
Free accessAn original creation designed for the museum by the professional dance school Synopsis.To close this new edition of the Night of Museums, the dancers of Synopsis take over the museum spaces in a choreographed roaming performance. Spread throughout the exhibition route, they appear one after another, inviting visitors to move from one space to another, encountering dance gestures that interact with the artworks.By following these successive presences, each visitor creates their own path, experiencing the artworks in a sensitive and intimate way throughout the performances.

At dusk, the Lazerme courtyard transforms into a festive space open to all.In partnership with Maison Dahlia, restaurant and cocktail barTo accompany this moment, Maison Dahlia sets up a non-alcoholic cocktail bar in the museum. The menu, specially designed for the event, offers a sensory and colourful interpretation of the museum’s collections.
Vinyl and vibrations – DJ set / open-air mix
At dusk, the Lazerme courtyard transforms into a festive space open to all.The duo D617 presents a DJ set blending vinyl records and digital mixes, spanning soul, pop, and funk, in a friendly atmosphere with a vintage feel.

• Hyacinthe Rigaud, an intimate portraitFree access, 2 sessions at 7:00 pm and 8:00 pmWhile Hyacinthe Rigaud was the portraitist of the Sun King and his court, he was also a painter of intimacy. This sensitive mediation explores this dimension of the Catalan artist’s work. Through comparisons between several portraits, as well as dialogue, play, and observation, visitors are invited to develop their own perspective on these paintings. A lively way to rediscover the Grand Siècle and its contemporary echoes.

A treasure hunt around Antoni GuerraRegistration on the day, 3 sessions at 8:00 pm, 8:45 pm and 9:30 pmFor the Night of Museums, the portraits in the Guerra room begin to speak… in riddles: two mysterious figures have left clues in their résumés—your task is to match them with the artworks on display. Observe, deduce, and find out who is who!
• Meet at the Belle Époque – Theatrical tour of the JO_B collectionRegistration on the day, 3 sessions at 8:00 pm, 8:45 pm and 9:30 pmImmerse yourself in the artworks and advertisements of the Belle Époque through a theatrical tour performed by two characters straight from that era.Through works by Gervais, Chéret, and Mucha, they reveal the links between the industrial bourgeoisie and artists, the dialogue between art and craft, and the emblematic techniques and colours of the Belle Époque.
Behind the scenes of artworks – colour tested by time
Registration on the day, limited to 20 participantsThis mediation session, led by the conservation and collections management team, offers an opportunity to explore the organ shutters of Saint-Jean-Baptiste Cathedral from a scientific perspective. The study of pigments and light effects helps to understand their state of preservation, their transformations, and their evolution over time.

Artworks through the senses
With the association La vue au bout des doigtsIn groups of up to 10 people and by reservation only, in a safe and reassuring settingIs a work of art perceived only through sight? As part of an awareness activity for visually impaired people, discover artworks in a different way. With blindfolds and guided by members of the association La vue au bout des doigts, you will rely mainly on touch and hearing to experience objects that we usually perceive visually.

Want to create close to the artworks? These mini workshops, led by a visual artist and open to all, offer a playful exploration of colour through different artistic worlds.
“The Sun of Lurçat”
Intense reds, bright yellows, deep blues: this workshop invites participants to discover the colourful universe of Jean Lurçat. Guided by an artist, parents and children create a paper-cut artwork between sun and imaginary creature.
“Exploring colour contrasts”
How does colour change an image? Starting from a work by Hyacinthe Rigaud, this workshop explores different contrasts — light/dark, complementary colours, quantity or intensity — to create a new interpretation.
“Warm and cool colours”
Linked to the works of Gustave Violet and Louis Bausil, this workshop invites participants to draw a landscape of the Roussillon region and create two versions: one in warm colours and one in cool colours. Using pencils, markers and paint, participants explore how these contrasts affect perception.
Illuminating your inner colours – Meditation with Sabrina Médita
Registration on the day, limited to 12 participantsFrom age 12Take a break among the contemporary artworks of the Lazerme gallery and immerse yourself in a luminous meditation inspired by the awakening of the 7 chakras – inner coloured windows that light up to let your whole being shine. In a space bathed in pink or blue light, this experience invites you to explore colour as a sensation and to recentre yourself before continuing your evening at the museum.
