"I like the night, I have clearer ideas in the dark!"
Serge Gainsbourg
La Maison Gainsbourg is pleased to once again be associated with the European Night of Museums through a tailor-made programme. After more than 32 years of waiting, the Maison Gainsbourg has established itself since its opening in September 2023 as a must-see cultural venue in Paris dedicated to the transmission of Serge Gainsbourg’s work. Wanted and led by his daughter Charlotte, artistic director of the Maison Gainsbourg, this project offers a dive into the heart of the creative and personal universe of the artist. For its third participation, the Maison Gainsbourg offers on the evening of Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 7 p.m. a free tour of the "Musée seul" pathway at 14 rue de Verneuil in Paris.Delve into the artist’s life and career through a chronological journey of 400 original objects and a selection of rare and unpublished archives. At the end of the tour, discover the temporary exhibition dedicated to the title "I love you... neither do I". The tour then continues with the Gainsbarre, a restaurant by day and cocktail bar in the evening, then ends in the bookstore-boutique which offers different collections to evoke the rich universe of the artist.Epicenter of the Maison Gainsbourg, the Gainsbarre is both a place of conviviality and diffusion. On the occasion of the 22nd edition of the European Night of Museums, discover a rhythmic program with concerts around the classical and jazz repertoire of Serge Gainsbourg. The "Musée seul" and the musical programming of Gainsbarre are open to all (without reservation and within the limit of available places on the evening of the event). The "House & Museum" route is fully booked for the European Night of Museums (draw made on May 18, 2026).
