The students of the 6th 7 Italian Bilangue of the Collège Jean Jaurès of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine participated in the EAC project “Creator and creatures: Mythology revisited”, as part of the device “the class, the work!” Ministry of Culture. They will present to the public the fruit of their work as part of the night of Museums, Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 15h to 17h at the Musée Bourdelle.
Throughout the school year, students benefited from five drawn visits and modeling workshops at the Bourdelle Museum led by artist Laurence de Vautibault and six writing workshops led by author Anne Schmauch. They discovered the work of sculptor Antoine Bourdelle, but also that of Polish artist Magdalena Abakanowicz, through the temporary exhibition.
Inspired by the works of the museum, the students created a gallery of characters who narrate these figures in the form of comics, in connection with their clay creations and drawings.

New creation "Sculpture de souffle" by the Korean duo U_RI (우리)

As part of the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France, organized by the Korean Cultural Centre in partnership with Paris Musées, the Bourdelle Museum invites the Korean duo U_RI (우리) to imagine a creation in dialog with the sculptor’s work.During the European night of Museums, Saturday, May 23, 2026, the public is invited to discover the piece “Sculpture of the breath” created and interpreted by choreographer and dancer Jae-Hyun an and musician E’Joung-Ju, player of geomungo (ancestral Korean cithar).Creation Description:The breath is that of the musician playing the geomungo, that of the dancer, and that of the sculptor at the time of creation.We do not belong to the same time, but we share the same space, where breaths of different times meet.At the Bourdelle Museum, the vibration of the geomungo and the body of the Korean dancer resonate with the time of sculpture and the present.Sculpture du souffle is not a performance that interprets or explains the works.Rather, it is an act of presence, where the musician, dancer and sculptor – although existing in different temporalities – share, for a moment, the same breath.Faced with the frozen bodies of the sculpture, sound and movement awaken suspended breathing.When these breaths overlap, the artistic act takes shape.Performance stubble duration: 20 min.
